In this project Steve Germann wrote an interpretive plan for the New France Museum, a facility planned to replace the former Father Marquette Museum, in St. Ignace, Michigan. The plan told the story of the unique culture formed by French trappers and traders, Jesuit priests, and Algonquian-speaking Native people in what the French referred to as the pays d’en haut (or upper country) of New France in the second half of the 17th century.
