Robert R. McCormick Museum
Wheaton, Illinois

Germann & Associates and the director and staff of the museum teamed to research and write a new interpretive plan and develop a schematic design for this large country estate property. The new plan preserves the story of the domestic life of a wealthy gentleman famer but places new emphasis on Colonel Robert R. McCormick’s importance to American journalism, politics, and business as the editor and publisher of the Chicago Tribune from 1910 to 1955. The new plan will transform a historic house museum into a museum in a historic house.
